Synopsis:
Josh Taylor is one of Britain’s most successful athletes.
The 31-year-old from Scotland has risen from the amateur ranks as a Commonwealth Gold medallist to capture all four world championship belts in breath-taking style. Only five other male fighters have achieved this remarkable feat.
Filmed between September 2021 and March 2022, ‘Josh Taylor: Portrait of a Fighter’ follows the boxer as he prepares for his highly anticipated title defence against England’s Jack Catterall.
As well as encompassing the rich drama, and controversial climax, of fight night in Glasgow, leading independent producers Ad Hoc Films have been granted full and unfiltered access to Taylor and his family to tell his story and fashion an intimate insight into the sacrifices, pressures, passion and pride that go into reaching the top in sport’s most brutal business.
